Mentoring

Individual mentoring is the core of the Starbase program. Each participant will be paired up with a mentor who will be in regular contact to provide individual support ranging from help with studies to enabling greater participation in sports. Essentially the role of mentors is to contribute to anything that provides any positive meaningful activity to the lives of participants. The program will allow mentors to impart some of their own experiences and allow young participants to maintain contact with a responsible young adult who can help guide them through their teenage years.

 Volunteering

Individuals choosing to volunteer to be mentors to young people are one of the most valuable and important aspects of the Starbase mentoring program. Volunteers who are motivated by the idea of being a positive influence in the life of a young person and are willing to commit to a 16-week program are welcome to apply. To apply to become a mentor please send a completed Mentor Nomination Form to admin@pckaf.org or contact us for more information on the program.
